A Day For Daisies

Eee daisies are just so cute! This is my little area of grass on our property that we've intentionally left un-mowed so the daisies could go wild.

Magic Moments - Perry Como

Vintage Photographs
I've always been so intrigued by old photographs! Just the thought that a moment was captured in a time I didn't belong to, yet I can see it here and now, is amazing.
I love seeing how people dressed in other eras, and how they did their hair, what their surroundings were like. The 1940's and 50's I adore especially because, from what my Grandma has told me (hehe) they seemed like such cute eras! On a Saturday everyone would get dolled up for a night at the local dance (perhaps an earlier form of today's night clubs? Which now have a very different atmosphere..) They'd arrive in their Morris Minors ( I cant believe people just drove around in those gorgeous cars so..casually!) Pin curled hair, pearls and a modest length prom dress for the girls, and for the men suits and slicked back hair. It was a night of innocence, jitterbugging to the sounds of the big bands that entailed respectable lyrics. It sounds so glamours!
If I could travel back to any era, I would go to the early 50's for sure.

So anyway I've trifled through my own family's collection and thought I'd share some of my favourites from the 40's - 70's. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Beginning with a photograph of my Grandma(far left) on a night out like I described above ♥
